3 Years Married
After 15 years of friendship, 13.5 of those years together, and November 15 being the day we got married 3 years ago, you’d think I’d no longer be surprised at my husband’s thoughtfulness and kindness. All I did was text him throughout my day of traveling home from a conference that I felt tired and like a stuffed sausage, and when I landed, my emailed dinged with 2 gift certificates from him for a prenatal massage and a facial. And then when I was zombie-ly talking to him on the phone (thanking him! I’m not an actual monster!), and he mentioned that he could call me at midnight, I very abruptly responded with, “why would you do that??”
“...because...it’s our anniversary...that’s what the gift certificates are for...”
Good job, me. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, HUSBAND!!! I totally didn’t forget/get confused about the date thinking it was next week! I am totally prepared and have a thoughtful and meaningful gift for you, too! It just won’t get here for a few days...
...At this rate, I’m going to get demoted from the World’s Okayest Wife.
